Running a Tucson and Green Valley home care agency has truly been a rewarding experience. While obtaining a Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Margie’s career began with an internship at a local nursing home which instilled in her at a young age a great deal of respect for caregivers.
Her chosen path for the next 25 years was to work closely with troubled teenagers and lead them through extraordinary experiences both physically and psychologically. These activities included hiking, rock climbing, sailing expeditions, bicycle treks, and Wagon Train Treks that were designed to overcome distrust, build confidence and foster a sense of positive accomplishment. It was an incredible life lasting and fulfilling experience that she will always value and draw upon.
As time passed, she also aided her family and aging father through 15 years of Alzheimer’s Care. Now as her Mom has reached the magnificent age of eighty-eight, dementia has begun to set in after her stroke this past summer, and she felt a strong desire to return to giving back to the elder community. Through extensive research she discovered an industry respected and an amazing caring group of people in Homewatch CareGivers International.

Schedule An Introductory CallMargaret “Margie” Lannon was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is now the proud owner of Homewatch CareGivers in Southern Arizona. She opened her first office in Tucson in 2009 and her second in Green Valley in 2019. She has always had a passion for working with the elderly. It probably started when she volunteered in nursing homes in Girl Scouts during grade school. Her leader would take the whole troop there every month. She looked forward to it every month, and it’s unclear who enjoyed it more—Margie or the clients she visited with. After college, she was a social worker in a nursing home. She took a little hiatus, worked with young teens and adults, and then returned to the elderly in 2009. Now, as the owner of Homewatch CareGivers, she is a Certified Senior Advisor. She has been on numerous boards, including the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the Woman’s Foundation of Southern Arizona, and Tucson College. She is active in Rotary in her community, serving as Past President for the past two years. She has volunteered with many local charities, including Wings for Women, the Alzheimer’s Association, and The Forgotten Children. She chaired the Woman’s Foundation Luncheon in 2015 and 2016, the largest luncheon in Tucson. Growing old is not an easy task, but it is inevitable. Margie and her team want to ensure their clients enjoy every last minute. Whether it is having someone by their side to talk to them or more personal tasks, the team at Homewatch CareGivers wants to make everyone’s life they can touch a little better.
Stacy Alameda hit the ground running when she joined the Homewatch CareGivers team in September of 2021. With her infectious laugh, Stacy strives to make our clients, families and staff feel like they are with family when they are a part of the Homewatch CareGivers team.
